How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: HGV Class 2 Driver
    Location: Leamington Spa

    Newly qualified drivers are needed/welcome to apply. Mainstay are currently recruiting for various HGV Class 2 drivers on an for an established contract in Redditch and Leamington Spa. The role involves delivery to residential addresses on a nationwide basis whilst working with an experienced Class C driver (meaning the workload is then shared). This is an excellent chance for newly qualified drivers to secure a temp to perm position and gain invaluable experience working with another Class 2 driver to forge a career within the transport and logistics industry. This opportunity will offer excellent training, job security and earning potential with a progressing company with well known and branded clients. Immediate start dates are available. 

    Role Details:

    Delivery to residential addresses, as part of a 2-person team. 
    Monday – Friday, with start times of between 05:00 and 07:00. Saturdays are available but not compulsory.
    Deliveries per day consists of between 4 and 10, depending on distance (local or nationwide).
    Ensuring all site/delivery safety rules are followed (as instructed via the induction).
    To comply with the customer service guidelines (again, training will be provided). Candidate Requirements:

    All applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, along with a CPC and Digicard
    There is no prior Class C driving experience required for this role.
    Candidates must be physically fit as you will be delivering stock by hand and assembling on site (training is provided).
    All drivers must have a professional and courteous manner, as they will be a representation of the company.
    You must be 21 of over and have no more than a maximum of 6 penalty points (for minor offences only). For insurance purposes only.Salary/Benefits

    50 Guaranteed hours - Equates to almost a £40,000 salary (once permanent).
    Internal promotions/progression available.
