How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - Traditional Build Housing

    Location: Watford
    Salary: £65k + package

    A large, established housebuilder is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a 190-unit traditional build residential development in Watford.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected developer with a strong pipeline of work, high-quality projects, and excellent long-term career prospects.

    The Role:

    Working as part of the site management team, you will take responsibility for a section of the development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

    Responsibilities:
    Managing day-to-day operations on a traditional build housing development
    Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and site labour
    Driving programme and maintaining build schedules
    Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld across site
    Monitoring build quality and managing snagging processes
    Supporting NHBC inspections and ensuring compliance
    Liaising with senior management and reporting on progress
    Helping deliver excellent customer satisfaction results

    Requirements:
    Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential housebuilding
    Strong background delivering traditional build housing developments
    Experience working on large-scale residential schemes preferred
    Excellent organisational and communication skills
    Strong knowledge of health & safety and site processes
    SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
    NHBC experience preferred
