Support Worker

Wrexham Council are seeking to recruit an experienced support  worker to join their team based in a supported living service for adults with mental health illness. This is initially a temporary position for 3 months with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis. You will work 12 hour shifts from 9am-9pm with some weekend working required to fit the rota. The standard hours are 36 per week (3 shifts) and offers a pay rate of £13.26ph PAYE.

Duties of the role include:

Supporting individuals with daily living skills, medication, appointments and leisure activities. This may include assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, cooking, household tasks etc.
Enable people to achieve their person centred plans, promoting positive outcomes and enablement for individuals to reach their optimum level of recovery and independence.
Ability to follow care and support plans and risk assessments.The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of working with adults with mental health illness  
Enhanced DBS check
Be able to work upon own initiative and within a team
