FLT Warehouse Operative

Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Leyland, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & FLT Operator to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse and forklift experience who can work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily checks on dock levellers and FLTs, completing records and reporting defects
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times
* Unload deliveries safely by hand or using FLT equipment, reporting any damages or shortages
* Store, handle, and repack products safely in the correct warehouse locations
* Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed
* Move materials safely in line with manual handling procedures
* Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
* Supply materials to production lines in line with operational requirements
* Maintain accurate stock and inventory records
* Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required
* Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly
* Maintain high housekeeping standards across warehouse and work areas
* Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental procedures
* Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Skills & Experience
* Valid Bendi/FLT licence
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good numeracy and basic IT skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Flexible and reliable approach to work
* Understanding of quality standards and customer expectations
Shift Pattern
* Monday to Friday
* Afternoon shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
* Full-time position
