How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Senior Care Assistant – Full Time – Luxury Residential Care Home – AV1938A
    Location: Wragby, Lincolnshire
    Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm / 8:00am – 4:00pm  - Full Time – Days / Evenings / Nights Cover Required
Pay: £29,120.00 Per Annum - Competitive Salary + Weekend Enhancements

    About the Home
Established in 1978 and owner-managed since 2004, this friendly and well-respected residential care home offers a warm, personal environment for older adults requiring long-term, respite, and short-term care.

Registered for 20 residents but intentionally operating at a smaller occupancy of 17, the home provides a genuinely homely atmosphere where residents and staff are known individually and valued as part of the wider care family.

The service supports a mix of privately funded and social services residents, with current residents ranging in age from their early 80s to 101 years old. Care is centred around dignity, companionship, independence, and creating meaningful daily experiences for every resident.

The home has built a loyal and stable staff team, with many team members choosing the service specifically because of its smaller, supportive environment in contrast to larger corporate care settings.

    Facilities and environment include:
    • Small, friendly, family-run residential care home
    • Comfortable single bedrooms and homely communal spaces
    • Long-standing, supportive staff team
    • Person-centred residential and respite care
    • Digital care planning system (Log My Care)
    • Varied activities and social engagement for residents
    • Peaceful rural Lincolnshire setting
    • Non-smoking environment

    The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality care while helping to lead and support the wider care team across shifts.

    You will be responsible for:
    • Providing compassionate, person-centred care to residents
    • Supporting residents living with dementia and age-related frailty
    • Safely administering medication
    • Leading shifts and supporting junior care staff when required
    • Maintaining accurate digital care records using Log My Care
    • Working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and occasional night cover
    • Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
    • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues

    Shift Patterns
    • Night Duty: 10:00pm – 8:00am
    • Day Shifts: 8:00am – 6:00pm / 8:00am – 4:00pm
    • Evening Shifts: 4:00pm – 10:00pm / 6:00pm – 10:00pm
    • Weekend enhancements available for weekend day and evening shifts

    About You
    • Previous experience within residential elderly care
    • Experience supporting residents with dementia and frailty
    • Medication administration experience preferred
    • Confident using digital systems and care records
    • Flexible and reliable with a good attendance record
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team
    • Calm, caring, and proactive approach to resident support
    • Own transport preferred due to rural location
    • Physically fit and well, as the home includes stair access

    The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will genuinely enjoy working within a smaller care home environment where teamwork, flexibility, and resident relationships are highly valued. You will understand the importance of seeing potential in every resident and helping individuals remain active, engaged, and independent wherever possible.

    Benefits & Perks
    • Competitive pay rates
    • Weekend enhancements
    • Supportive owner-managed environment
    • Small, friendly team culture
    • Opportunity to work in a well-established local care home
