How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Engineering team as the Head of Compliance at our Cwmbran site.

    Your Role

    The Head of Compliance covers mainly seating projects across Safran Seats GB, but also occasionally supports seating projects developed by other Safran Business Units, such as Seats France and Seats US. The role requires the management of a team of diverse functions; mechanical certification, electrical certification, flammability certification, composite related qualification activities and more general engineering certification and compliance processes. The role supports the wider engineering and operational requirement of Safran Seats, as described by the Safran Vision. This role requires the review of resource capacity and capability to ensure adequacy in supporting projects and activities across the engineering compliance activities.

    What You'll Bring

    *Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical / Structural Engineering
    *Experience working in a certification role for aircraft equipment, with relevant experience specifically related to certification of cabin interiors products with EASA and FAA.
    *Knowledge of seat and furniture certification.
    *Knowledge of EASA Part 21, Part 25 and Part 145.
    *Knowledge of seats static and dynamic certification/testing for both structural & occupant safety performance requirements.
    *Knowledge of flammability requirements and applications for seat and furniture certification.
    *Knowledge of complex Engineering processes
