How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vacancy

    Service Delivery Driver – Class C

    Location:          Hartshill

    Business: The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce biogas, renewable electricity, heat and ReGrow (a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms). The plants also recycle the food waste packaging providing an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.

    The Position

    Applications are invited for a Service Delivery Driver – Class C based at our Hartshill site, working 48 hours per week and in line with the EU Drivers Hours rules and the Working Time Directive (WTD).

    Please be aware that you will be required to be flexible in regard to start and finish times due to business requirements, with the shifts being based around days and afternoons, as required.

    As a Service Delivery Driver - Class C your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

    To collect and exchange 240 litre wheelie bins from clients’ premises, containing food and catering waste.

    Manual Handling

    Return the wheelie bins to site and offload the material into hoppers.

    Complete all the required documentation.

    Ensure the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertake the required vehicle checks.

    To act as an ambassador on behalf of ReFood, ensuring that the client is treated courteously and respectfully.

    Use an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirements.

    The Person

    Hold a full, clean HGV Class C Driving licence.

    Multi-Drop experience in a single-crew environment will be a distinct advantage.

    Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.

    Represent the company positively when visiting sites and communicating with customers.

    Demonstrate their understanding of EU Rules and WTD.

    Undertake a Disclosure and Barring check, as required.

    Hold their Driver CPC.

    Hold a Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

    The successful completion of a DBS check is a mandatory requirement and is a condition of any offer of employment.
