How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a Psychology graduate looking to become an Assistant Psychologist or Assistant Therapist?

    A specialist ASD school in Reading, Berkshire is seeking a full-time Mental Health Assistant to support children aged 4-11 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

    As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:

    Support pupils with ASD and complex needs
    Assist with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and behaviour support plans
    Work alongside Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists
    Gain hands-on experience in therapeutic and SEN practiceThis Mental Health Assistant role provides valuable experience for graduates aiming for Assistant Psychologist or Assistant Therapist careers. You'll learn therapeutic strategies and gain practical skills in a structured, nurturing ASD environment.

    Who We're Looking For

    The ideal Mental Health Assistant is:

    A graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or a related field
    Passionate about autism, mental health, and child development
    Patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
    Interested in progressing towards Assistant Psychologist or Assistant Therapist rolesExperience with ASD, SEN, or mental health is desirable but not essential. Level 3 qualification required; degree highly desirable.
