How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role will lead curriculum design, oversee learner progress and quality assurance, manage and develop support teams, and build strong partnerships with families, employers, and external agencies, all while driving learner engagement, improving outcomes, and ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of inclusive adult learning provision.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Lead the design and delivery of personalised learning and development programmes for adults with learning difficulties and autism.
    * Develop effective assessment and evaluation methods to monitor learner progress and improve outcomes.
    * Ensure all learning programmes meet regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
    * Oversee the creation of personalised learner development passports in collaboration with learners, families, and partner agencies.
    * Manage and develop teams of support staff and employment coaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    * Build and maintain strong relationships with families, employers, charities, and external stakeholders.
    * Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, diversity, and inclusion across all learning activities.
    * Support learner recruitment, retention, and progression in line with strategic objectives.
    * Work collaboratively with senior leadership to secure resources and further develop learner opportunities.
    * Stay current with emerging learning technologies, digital tools, and AI-driven approaches to enhance delivery.
    What We're Looking For:
    * Proven leadership experience within education, training, adult learning, supported employment, or social care settings.
    * Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
    * Experience designing and implementing personalised learning programmes and assessment frameworks.
    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and inspire others.
    * Demonstrable team leadership and people management experience.
    * A strategic and innovative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
    * Genuine passion for improving life chances and creating positive social impact.
    * Degree-level qualification or professional equivalent in teaching, assessment, coaching, or a related field.
    * Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism would be advantageous.
    * Full UK driving licence preferred.
Appointment will be subject to DBS clearance, right to work checks and satisfactory references.
