Long Term Futures are recruiting an ambitious and experienced Head of Spanish to join a high-performing secondary school in South West London from September 2026.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an outstanding Languages teacher with the ability to teach Spanish to A Level and French at Key Stage 3/4. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of Spanish across the school while working within a successful and supportive Languages department.

The school is seeking a passionate practitioner who can drive high standards of teaching and learning, support curriculum development and contribute to wider school life.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of Spanish across KS3, KS4 and KS5
Teach Spanish to A Level and French at KS3
Support curriculum planning, assessment and departmental strategy
Drive student progress and attainment within Languages
Support and contribute to staff development within the department
Promote engagement in languages through enrichment and wider opportunities
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level, including A Level
Ability to teach French at KS3
Strong curriculum knowledge and leadership potential
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to high standards and student achievement
Location & Transport - South West London

Accessible via National Rail and Underground links
Strong transport routes across South and Central London
Well-connected via local bus services
