How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Youth Mentor - Blackley (Manchester)

    šŸ’· Ā£110 - Ā£120 per day (depending on experience)

    We are currently recruiting for a committed and resilient SEN Youth Mentor to join a specialist education setting in Blackley. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.

    You will be working closely with pupils who may present with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviour, providing consistent 1:1 support and acting as a key role model in their school journey.

    The role will involve:

    Delivering 1:1 mentoring and targeted support to pupils with SEN and behavioural needs
    Building strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and positive outcomes
    Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management and social development
    Helping young people access learning and stay engaged in structured school routines
    Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and external agencies where required
    Promoting positive behaviour, resilience and personal development
    Being a consistent and reliable presence for vulnerable learnersWhat we're looking for:

    Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or behavioural challenges
    Backgrounds in youth work, sports coaching, support work, care, mentoring, residential care or education welcome
    Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
    A calm, patient, consistent and proactive approach
    Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a supportive and professional way
