Teaching Assistant - SEMH Primary PRU

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Stretford, who are looking to appoint a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a full-time role to start ASAP and offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people in a supportive and rewarding setting.

The Role:

Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom
Working closely with the class teacher and wider pastoral team
Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently
Building strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
Supporting learning through tailored interventions and classroom activitiesThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs
Be calm, patient, and resilient
Have strong behaviour management skills
Be passionate about supporting vulnerable children
Be able to build positive relationships quickly
Hold a TA qualification or relevant experience (preferred but not essential)The School Offers:
