How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    KS2 Teacher
    Location: Aston, Birmingham B6
    Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)
    Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: 01/09/2026
    Contract: Long-term, temp-to-perm

    Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Aston to recruit a committed KS2 Teacher for the new academic year. The school is open to teachers with experience across either Lower KS2 or Upper KS2 and would also welcome applications from enthusiastic ECTs looking to build their experience within a supportive setting.

    This full-time role is expected to be for the entire academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate. The school benefits from a supportive leadership team, strong behaviour expectations, and a collaborative staff culture focused on delivering positive outcomes for pupils.

    Responsibilities:

    Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging KS2 lessons
    Adapt teaching to suit the needs of pupils across Lower or Upper KS2
    Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting support where needed
    Create a positive and structured classroom environment
    Work closely with colleagues, support staff and SLT
    Build strong relationships with parents and carers
    Support pupils through key transitions and preparation for SATs where applicableWhat We're Looking For:

    UK QTS or be completing teacher training this year
    Experience teaching or supporting within KS2 placements/classrooms
    Strong classroom management and communication skills
