How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee and deliver mechanical and electrical building services projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical aspects of construction projects

    * Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

    * Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams

    * Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

    * Monitor project progress, costs, and risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary

    * Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents

    * Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

    * Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings

    * Prepare and present project reports, including financial and programme updates

    * Ensure quality assurance and commissioning of M&E systems

    * Manage project handover, including documentation and client sign-off

    Requirements

    Essential:

    Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within construction or building services

    Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, installations, and regulations

    Excellent project management and organisational skills

    Experience managing budgets and project timelines

    Strong leadership and communication skills

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

    Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office

    Desirable:

    * Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services

    * Professional accreditation (e.g., CIBSE, IET, or equivalent)

    * SMSTS / CSCS certification

    * Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments
