How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Sales Administrator

    Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid – 1 day per week homeworking)
    Salary: £29,000 per annum
    Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday 8:00am–3:30pm

    About the Role

    Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Sales Administrator on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator, internal sales professional, or customer service specialist who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

    Joining a supportive and close-knit team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of sales administration activities while delivering exceptional service to customers and internal stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Act as the first point of contact for all sales administration enquiries

    * Build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple internal brands

    * Support new business opportunities and gather market intelligence

    * Negotiate pricing and maintain accurate pricing structures and records

    * Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring high levels of service

    * Process customer orders and maintain an accurate order book

    * Support sourcing and supply activities as required

    * Prioritise and manage a high volume of email-based tasks effectively

    * Attend internal and external meetings via Microsoft Teams

    * Occasionally attend customer site visits alongside a colleague

    Skills & Experience Required

    * Previous experience within internal sales, sales administration, or customer service

    * Ability to thrive in a busy environment with short turnaround deadlines

    * Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

    * Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

    * High level of attention to detail and accuracy

    * Proactive and confident approach with the ability to work independently

    * SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential

    * Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
