How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will work closely with production teams, procurement, logistics, estimating, and project management to ensure materials, labour, and machine capacity are effectively planned and utilised.

This role requires strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes within the doors or joinery industry.

    Key Responsibilities

Plan and prioritise workflow across manufacturing departments including cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and dispatch

    *

Ensure production schedules align with customer delivery requirements and contractual lead times

    *

Liaise closely with production managers, team leaders, and shop floor staff to monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts

    *

Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials, hardware, and components are available in line with production plans

    *

Adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, urgent orders, or production delays

    *

Monitor capacity planning across machinery, labour, and subcontract processes

    *

Track job progress and update ERP/MRP systems with accurate production data

    *

Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to improve throughput and efficiency

    *

Support continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and scheduling

    *

Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding production status and potential delays

    *

Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of production performance metrics

    *

Assist with forecasting and long-term planning of manufacturing workloads

    Candidate Requirements

    *

Previous experience in a Production Scheduler, Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner, or Operations Planning role

    *

Strong background within manufacturing, ideally doors, doorsets, joinery, or building products

    *

Understanding of production processes including assembly, machining, and finishing

    *

Experience working with ERP, MRP, or production planning systems

    *

    Strong organisational and time-management skills

    *

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    *

Excellent communication skills across operational and technical teams

    *

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

    *

    Proactive problem-solving mindset

    What’s on Offer

    *

    Competitive salary and benefits package

    *

Opportunity to join a growing specialist manufacturer within the doorset industry

    *

Strong focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement

Career progression opportunities within production and operations planning

    *

Supportive and technically driven working environment

    *

Exposure to high-quality commercial and residential projects
