How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Window & Door Surveyor
    UPVC & Aluminium Fenestration
    Location: Midlands / Regional Travel Required

    Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and highly respected manufacturer and installer within the fenestration industry who are looking to recruit an experienced Window & Door Surveyor to join their growing operational team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fenestration professional with strong technical surveying knowledge across UPVC and aluminium windows and doors.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out accurate site surveys for domestic and/or commercial window and door installation projects, ensuring all measurements, specifications, and technical details are captured correctly prior to manufacture and installation.

    You will work closely with installation teams, operations, sales, and manufacturing departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Carry out detailed site surveys for windows, doors, bifold doors, sliding doors, and associated glazing products

    *

    Accurately measure and assess openings for replacement and new-build installations

    *

    Confirm product specifications, structural requirements, and installation details

    *

    Identify and resolve potential installation or technical issues prior to manufacture

    *

    Liaise with customers, installers, builders, and internal departments

    *

    Produce accurate survey reports and technical documentation

    *

    Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards

    *

    Support installation teams with technical guidance when required

    *

    Maintain excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle

    Candidate Requirements

    *

    Previous experience as a Window Surveyor, Door Surveyor, Fenestration Surveyor, Technical Surveyor, or Installation Surveyor

    *

    Strong technical knowledge of UPVC and aluminium windows and doors

    *

    Experience surveying domestic and/or commercial fenestration projects

    *

    Ability to read technical drawings and installation specifications

    *

    Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

    *

    Good communication and customer-facing abilities

    *

    Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards

    *

    Full UK driving licence
