How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Payroll Technician – People Focused Firm – Middlesex

    About the Firm:

    This is an exciting time to join a growing practice.

    About The Opportunity:

    Joining as a full time Payroll Technician, you will be providing payroll services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various healthcare related industries.

    About The Role:

    You will be working under the guidance of the payroll team to assist with the provision of the following
    services:
    • Managing own workflow to meet associated deadlines
    • Preparing and distributing all aspects of employee payments
    • Maintaining payroll records and calculating taxes
    • Ensuring timely submission of data to HMRC and maintaining compliance with GDPR
    • Administration of pension contributions and ensuring auto-enrolment rules are being adhered to
    • Providing a friendly point of contact with clients for payroll.
    You will be integral to the practice’s continued expansion and will be expected to want to help the payroll
    division.

    * CIPP and/or AAT qualified/part qualified

    * Strong understanding of payroll and HR

    * Work experience within an accountancy practice environment would be preferred

    * Adaptable and wanting to develop skills across both payroll and bookkeeping

    * Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients

    * Possesses excellent attention to detail

    * The ability to remain calm under pressure

    * Proactive and willing to take on increased responsibility from the outset

    About The Benefits:

    * 20 days annual leave + 8 days BH

    * Working hours 8.30-5.30 with 1 hour for lunch (there is flexibility to this)
