How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Building Safety Remediation Lead
    Salary: £55,500
    Location: Kent with hybrid working

We’re working with a well established housing provider looking to appoint a Building Safety Remediation Lead to take ownership of complex fire safety and remediation programmes across their residential portfolio.

This role would suit someone who has genuinely led remediation projects within occupied residential buildings and is comfortable managing contractors, consultants, budgets and residents through live works from inception through to completion.

This is not a purely compliance or coordination role. They are looking for someone operational, commercially aware and confident taking ownership of remediation delivery within a social housing environment.
    The role
    • Lead end to end delivery of fire and building safety remediation programmes across occupied residential buildings
    • Manage remediation works including fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors and associated FRA actions
    • Oversee FRAEW and Type 4 recommendations through to completed works on site
    • Manage consultants and contractors across procurement, programme delivery, quality assurance, variations and snagging
    • Monitor contractor performance, programme progress, KPIs and compliance standards
    • Take ownership of project budgets, cashflows, forecasting and financial reporting
    • Maintain accurate building safety information and Golden Thread records
    • Manage project risks, compliance and resident safety throughout delivery
    • Lead resident and stakeholder communication during live remediation works
    • Manage Section 20 consultation processes where required

    What they’re looking for
    • Proven experience independently leading building safety or remediation programmes within social housing or occupied residential environments
    • Strong contractor and consultant management experience across live remediation projects
    • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting and programme delivery responsibility
    • Good understanding of Building Safety legislation, Building Regulations, CDM and fire safety compliance
    • Experience managing FRA remedial works, compartmentation, fire doors and wider remediation activity
    • Comfortable operating within pressured environments and making operational decisions
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage residents, contractors and senior stakeholders confidently
    • Experience with JCT or NHF contracts preferred

    Why this role
You’ll be joining an organisation with a strong reputation within the housing sector and a genuine focus on improving resident safety and building standards.
There is a strong pipeline of remediation work, good internal support and the opportunity to take real ownership of projects rather than simply coordinating process.

The organisation is looking for someone practical, delivery focused and confident managing complex remediation works in live residential environments.
