The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their individual potential within a supportive specialist setting.
* Significant experience supporting children or young people with ASC and/or severe learning difficulties.
* Knowledge of SEN support strategies and tools, including:
* Visual timetables
* Sensory integration techniques
* Augmentative communication methods
* Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
* Calm, caring, patient, and consistent approach.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Team Teach training or other positive behaviour management training.
* Experience using PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures within specialist settings.
