How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will take ownership of QA/QC processes across mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring all works meet project specifications, relevant standards, and internal quality requirements.

Working closely with the QA/QC Manager, you will act as a key quality authority on site, driving compliance, inspection discipline, and continuous improvement across subcontractor delivery. This is a hands-on role focused on technical assurance, documentation control, and maintaining the highest standards of installation quality in complex live project environments.

    What You’ll Do

Coordinate and implement the Project Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, and site quality procedures across all subcontracted works
Review system scope, specifications, and installation requirements with a focus on pipework installation and weld quality
Ensure adherence to quality plans and defined project requirements
Oversee and enforce site inspection, testing, and quality control processes across all systems
Attend quality review meetings as required
Provide structured feedback to the QA/QC Manager, including weekly reporting and improvement recommendations
Generate, manage, and close out punch lists, ensuring timely resolution of defects and non-conformances
Produce and maintain quality performance statistics for tracking and reporting purposes
Coordinate system walkdowns with subcontractors and project stakeholders
Support scheduling and prioritisation of inspections and quality checks across multiple systems
Maintain clear, accurate, and auditable QA/QC documentation across all project activities
Support site teams with compliance queries and ensure adherence to agreed quality standards
Carry out any additional reasonable duties as directed by management

    What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a QA/QC Engineer or similar quality-focused role within M&E or construction
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installation processes, particularly pipework and welding standards
Experience working within structured Quality Management Systems and project quality plans
Ability to prioritise workload across multiple systems and deadlines
Strong communication skills with experience engaging subcontractors and site teams
High level of attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills
Accountable, reliable, and confident taking ownership of quality issues on site
Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental systems within construction environments

    Desirable Experience

Previous experience on commercial fit-out or laboratory projects
Familiarity with large-scale subcontractor management environments
Experience producing QA/QC reporting, KPIs, and quality statistics
Understanding of ISO-based quality systems or similar frameworks
Background working in fast-paced, high-spec construction environments

    What This Role Offers

Senior site-based quality leadership role on prestigious London projects
Exposure to complex commercial and laboratory installations
Strong involvement in quality processes and decision-making on site
Opportunity to influence and improve site-wide QA/QC standards
Long-term development within a growing M&E delivery and quality function
£65,000–£85,000 salary + package aligned to experience and responsibility
