How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant (KS2 Interventions)
    Location: Haringey, London
    Start Date: May 2026
    Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
    Salary: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial Key Stage 2 experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
    Teach Now is recruiting a confident, enthusiastic, and flexible Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting learning and making a real difference through targeted interventions.

    This is a varied and rewarding role, combining targeted intervention work with general classroom support. You will work across Years 3–6, delivering phonics and reading interventions to help pupils build confidence and close learning gaps, while also supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.

    The school is looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong personality—someone who can engage pupils, build relationships, and bring energy to the role.

    Requirements

    • Experience working in Key Stage 2

    • Proven experience delivering interventions (phonics and/or reading essential)

    • Understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND experience desirable)

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Flexible, proactive, and able to work across different year groups

    • A positive, engaging personality and a genuine passion for supporting children

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver phonics and reading interventions to small groups and individual pupils

    • Support pupils across KS2 (Years 3–6), adapting to different classroom environments

    • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

    • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with SEND

    • Encourage engagement, confidence, and progress in learning

    • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
