How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Position: Project Manager
    Location: Midlands / London (with office attendance where practical)
    Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 + car/travel expenses (flexible for the right person)
    Type: Permanent or Freelance considered

    The Opportunity

    Are you an experienced construction Project Manager who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects and building strong client relationships? Do you enjoy taking ownership of schemes from inception through to completion, leading teams and driving performance on site? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

    We are working with a well-established and rapidly growing construction and fit-out business delivering nationwide projects across a range of sectors including retail, commercial and public sector frameworks.

    Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and repeat work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their delivery team.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.

    Typical schemes will include refurbishment and rollout projects ranging from c.£250k up to £1.5m across key repeat clients and framework agreements.

    You will be expected to lead from the front, manage site teams and subcontractors, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion
    Manage site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders
    Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery milestones
    Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
    Oversee project budgets, cost control and commercial performance
    Run site meetings and maintain clear communication across all parties
    Identify risks, delays and opportunities, implementing effective solutions
    Drive quality standards and ensure delivery expectations are met
    Produce clear and accurate reporting for internal and client teams

    Candidate Requirements

    3–5 years’ Project Management experience within construction
    Background in commercial, fit out, refurbishment or residential projects
    Strong leadership and site delivery capability
    Confident client-facing and stakeholder management skills
    Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
    Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously
    SMSTS qualified (or equivalent)
    Construction-related qualification (HNC / Degree / Trade background considered)
    Experience with JCT / Design & Build contracts advantageous
