Freight Forwarding Trainee

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics business seeking a Trainee Operations Coordinator to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the freight and logistics industry. The company is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds - previous exposure to shipping, transport, warehousing, or supply chain would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right individual with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

The Role

You will be introduced to all aspects of transport and freight operations, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of logistics activities. Responsibilities will include:

Managing full load, part load, and groupage shipments
Liaising with hauliers, customers, and internal departments
Assisting with day-to-day transport operations
Supporting shipment coordination and tracking activities
Building strong customer and supplier relationships
Learning operational processes within a fast-paced logistics environment

What We're Looking For

Strong communication and organisational skills
Motivated and eager to learn
Ability to work well within a team environment
Confident using computers and handling administrative tasks
Previous experience within shipping, transport, warehousing, or logistics is advantageous but not essentialThis is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into logistics or develop an existing foundation within the industry.
