How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mobile Commercial Maintenance Electrician – North West – £43,000

    I am currently representing an established building services company who are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Commercial Maintenance Electrician to join their growing team across the North West region due to continued growth.

    The company have been operating for over 25 years and specialise in delivering electrical maintenance and compliance services across a varied portfolio of commercial properties including schools, councils, offices, and other commercial sites throughout Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

    You will be joining an established maintenance team carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance works across commercial sites. The ideal candidate will have strong fault-finding experience, testing knowledge, and experience working within commercial environments.

    THE ROLE

    • Monday – Friday – 40-hour working week

    • Working across Lancashire & Greater Manchester

    • Mobile role covering commercial properties including schools, offices, local authority buildings and commercial sites

    • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works

    • EICR Testing, Emergency Lighting Testing & DB Health Checks

    • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults

    • Installing, upgrading and maintaining electrical systems and equipment

    • Ensuring all works are completed in line with current electrical and health & safety regulations

    • Completing maintenance reports and certification paperwork

    • Candidate must be able to pass Enhanced DBS checks

    SALARY & PACKAGE

    • £36,000 - £43,000

    REQUIREMENTS

    • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent

    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    • Proven experience within commercial electrical maintenance

    • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities

    • Testing & Inspection experience advantageous

    • Good communication and customer service skills

    • Ability to work independently and within a team

    • Full UK Driving Licence
