How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer
    Hampshire
    Total package available: Up to £50,000+ per year*

    *£32,000 - £41,600 salary plus £3,000 market supplement.
    An additional £6,000 tax-free payment may be available for teachers within their first 5 years of teaching.

    Boston Rose are working with a specialist engineering and technology college to recruit an Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer.

    This role would suit someone with an aeronautical or aerospace engineering background looking to move into education, or an existing lecturer wanting to work within a specialist engineering environment. You’ll be delivering teaching across aeronautical programmes, supporting learners throughout their studies, and helping develop the next generation entering the aerospace industry.

    The college are open to candidates coming straight from industry, with full support available to complete teaching qualifications where needed.

    What our client is looking for:

    * Relevant industry experience within aeronautical or aerospace engineering

    * Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject area, or willingness to work towards one

    * Strong communication and organisational skills

    * Previous teaching/training experience, or experience supporting apprentices or junior staff in industry

    * Passion for developing learners and sharing industry knowledge
