Plant Operator

About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company are seeking to add a Plant Operator with hours between 7am- 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

Monitor the anaerobic digestion plant, ensuring optimal run time
Support the Plant Manager to implement and achieve operational and personal targets
Ensure that the plant is clean and tidy
Feed the plant using a Telehandler
Ensure that the extruders are running smoothly and attending to any issues
Maintain all relevant site health, safety, quality and environmental standards
Ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times
Perform visual checks of the plant, logging all findings
Perform any housekeeping duties that need doing
Other duties are requiredProfessional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

Telehandler licence or proven experience using and driving a Telehandler
A recognised engineering qualification is preferred but not essential
Experience working night shifts is highly preferred
Demonstrable experience of working alone and in upholding great H&S standards
Experience in an agricultural, production or process environment
UK driving licencePersonal skills:
The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:

A problem-solver and self-starter
Excellent verbal and written English language
Someone hard-working who can work on their own and can be trusted to do what needs to be done with minimal supervision
