How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Building Services Engineer

    šŸ“ Bristol | Hybrid Working (3 days office-based required)

    šŸ’° Up to Ā£55,000 DOE + package

    Zest4Talent is proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering consultancy looking to expand its growing Bristol team with the addition of a Senior Building Services Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical).

    You will be involved in:

    āœ” Detailed building services design

    āœ” Project delivery from concept through to completion

    āœ” Technical calculations, schematics and specifications

    āœ” Client, contractor and design team coordination

    āœ” Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

    āœ” Sustainable and low-carbon design strategies

    āœ” Working across a varied project portfolio

    šŸ”¹ What They Are Looking For

    āœ” Strong Building Services Engineering experience (Mechanical or Electrical)

    āœ” Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership

    āœ” Team players with a proactive and positive attitude

    āœ” Strong communication and project delivery skills

    āœ” Individuals comfortable working independently and taking initiative

    āœ” Passion for technical excellence and delivering quality work

    āœ” Commercial awareness and client-facing confidence

    Experience within sectors such as commercial, education, residential, leisure, secure environments or critical systems would be highly advantageous.

    Software experience across packages such as Revit, AutoCAD, IES VE, Amtech, Dialux or Relux would also be beneficial.

    šŸ“Œ Please note: candidates must be able to travel into the Bristol office approximately 3 days per week.
