How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Triple Science Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in the CV4 area of Coventry. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive and nurturing environment, teaching students from Year 9 upwards and helping them develop confidence, independence, and academic success through engaging and inclusive Science education.

    The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners within a specialist setting. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people’s lives and supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver engaging and differentiated Triple Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

    * Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to meet the individual needs of students within a specialist education setting.

    * Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

    * Monitor and assess student progress effectively, using data and observations to inform planning and interventions.

    * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, SEN staff, and wider school colleagues to support student outcomes.

    * Encourage the development of students’ confidence, communication skills, resilience, and independence.

    * Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with the school’s values and behaviour policies.

    * Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment opportunities, and wider school activities.

    * Engage in continuous professional development and contribute positively to the school community.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, including Triple Science

    * A strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice

    * Experience working within SEND or specialist education settings is desirable

    * Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills

    * A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to supporting young people

    * A commitment to helping every student achieve their individual potential
