How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Title: PR Account Manager (B2B PR agency)

Location: Carshalton, Surrey (hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home)

Salary: Up to £46,000 (DOE) with a bonus potential of £4k

Are you a confident writer with PR experience (or do you have a background in journalism or technical writing)? Do you enjoy variety, pace and the satisfaction of seeing your work land in the media and across digital channels? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

    Surrey-based agency

We’re looking for a dynamic PR Account Manager to join our welcoming, high-performing team in Carshalton, Surrey (London Borough of Sutton).

Celebrating our 60th anniversary this year, we hold the PRCA’s Communications Management Standard (CMS) at its highest Platinum tier. It’s a recognised hallmark of excellence in PR & communications, and we are proud to have held this accreditation for longer than any other agency.

    The role

You’ll create a wide range of content, including technical articles, press releases, case studies, advertorials, newsletters, thought leadership pieces, web copy, video scripts, and both short- and long-form social media posts.

You’ll develop a strong understanding of each client’s products, technology and brand – ensuring tone, personality and accuracy are consistent across every channel.

Reporting to our Account Directors, you’ll lead day-to-day account delivery, build trusted client relationships, pitch stories that secure high-quality coverage, collaborate with our in-house design team, support social channel growth, attend meetings & shows, and contribute to the successful running of client events.

    Hybrid working

We’ve embraced hybrid working and are committed to the benefits it brings to our team and the business. We work together in our spacious Carshalton-based office (major refurb completing in June 2026) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mondays and Wednesdays can be worked from home or the office, and Fridays are fully remote.

You’ll collaborate with talented colleagues who deliver outstanding results for clients, with this role focussed primarily on the animal health and veterinary sectors – although as an agency, we also have extensive experience in automotive, aviation, human health and transport/logistics. Please visit our website to learn more about our client base.

    PR Account Manager requirements:

Experience: 2-3+ years in PR/communications, journalism, content or marketing, with a strong portfolio of written work (ideally including experience navigating technical/complex topics).
Education: Degree in a relevant subject preferred; NCTJ, PRCA or CIPR qualifications are a plus.
Writing: Able to write clearly, accurately and confidently for different audiences and channels.
Client skills: Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability.
Media mindset: Genuine enthusiasm for news, media and digital channels.
Creativity: Brings ideas and spots angles that turn into great stories.
Networking: Confident building and maintaining strong media and stakeholder relationships.
Project management: Organised and proactive, able to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines.
Briefing: Able to brief designers, photographers and video crews clearly and effectively.

    PR Account Manager benefits:

Competitive salary: Up to £46,000 (DOE), plus annual bonus potential of £4,000.
Hybrid & flexible: Two days in the office, up to three days from home. Flexible start times from 7.30am–10am to help you avoid rush hour.
Perks: Perkbox membership (200+ perks), complimentary fruit and refreshments, free on-site parking, and a short walk from Carshalton or Carshalton Beeches stations.
Socials: Quarterly staff socials, and a newly refurbished ‘Break Lounge’ with pool table/darts.
Time off: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus your birthday off.

    Our culture

AMPLIFY is our driving force, developed by our team.

Authentic: We build genuine connections with our clients, who view us as an extension of their teams.
Memorable: Our creative end-to-end approach leaves a lasting impression.
Professional: Delivering excellence is not just an aspiration – it’s our everyday.
Longevity: With more than 50 years’ experience, our average client relationship is five times the industry standard.
Innovative: We provide our clients with what they need, even if they don’t know it yet.
Friendly: Collaborative and inclusive, we celebrate each other’s success, while still prioritising fun.
Yielding results: We consistently deliver creative, accurate & impactful work.

    Join us!

You don’t need previous experience in our specific sectors – we’re looking for the right skills, attitude and professionalism. What matters most is strong writing skills (including experience on technical topics), curiosity, proven abilities in project management, and a commitment to producing exceptional work for clients.

If you’re ready to join a B2B agency known for the quality of its output and consistently strong results – within a friendly, supportive team – we’d love to hear from you. Apply now
