How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school community in Birmingham.     The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering confidence, resilience, and a love of learning within a supportive and high-achieving environment.     Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to GCSE standard, ensuring all students receive an engaging and personalised learning experience.

    * Plan and implement a stimulating Maths curriculum that supports academic progress and develops students’ problem-solving and analytical skills.

    * Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEND and varying abilities.

    * Monitor, assess, and track student progress, using data to inform planning and raise attainment.

    * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour, respect, and a love of learning.

    * Contribute to the wider Maths department, collaborating with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards across the faculty.

    * Support students’ social and emotional wellbeing, helping to create a safe and nurturing school culture.

    * Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, school events, and extra-curricular activities.

    * Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting

    * Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education

    * Excellent classroom management and communication skills

    * A commitment to raising achievement and supporting students’ holistic development

    * The ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
