How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children before pursuing a career in education, educational psychology, therapy, social care, or mental health support?

    Aspire People are currently recruiting Psychology graduates to support pupils within primary schools, working closely with children who may have additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and social communication needs.

    This role is ideal for graduates looking to develop practical experience supporting children's emotional wellbeing, behaviour, learning, and development within a school environment.

    Working within education can provide invaluable experience for those considering future careers such as:
    * Educational Psychologist
    * SENDCO
    * Speech & Language Therapist
    * Child Psychotherapist
    * Primary Teacher
    * Mental Health Support Worker
    * Behaviour Specialist

    The school is looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning.

    The Role:
    * Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs within the classroom
    * Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
    * Supporting learning through targeted interventions and classroom activities
    * Helping pupils develop confidence, communication, and social skills
    * Working closely with class teachers, SEND staff, and pastoral teams
    * Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils

    The Ideal Candidate Will:
    * Hold a Psychology degree or related qualification
    * Have a genuine interest in child development and SEND support
    * Be calm, resilient, and adaptable
    * Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
    * Be interested in progressing within education or child-focused careers
    * Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential
