How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    Overview
    We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer specialising in 3 and 5 Axis Milling to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining, CAD/CAM software, and mechanical processes, with a focus on precision and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects involving plastics injection moulding, welding, and assembly, contributing to high-quality production outputs.

    Duties

    * Develop and optimise CNC programmes for 3 and 5 Axis Milling machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks.

    * Set up and operate CNC milling equipment, ensuring accurate execution of programmes.

    * Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce precise components.

    * Perform grinding, welding, and assembly tasks as required for project completion.

    * Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to prepare materials and maintain equipment.

    * Conduct routine inspections of machined parts to verify adherence to quality standards.

    * Assist with plastics injection moulding processes where applicable.

    * Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

    * Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience in CNC programming for 3 and 5 Axis Milling machines.

    * Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, alongside CAM programming skills.

    * Knowledge of grinding, welding, plastics injection moulding, and assembly processes.

    * Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    * Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, and basic maths skills for measurements.

    * Familiarity with the use of CAD/CAM software for programme development.

    * Strong understanding of mechanical principles related to plastics processing and manufacturing techniques.
