How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Construction Project Administrator - Maternity Cover
    Meridian are working with a Washington-based company that cover both Construction and MEP projects. With one of their team soon to take maternity leave, they are hiring for the role now to cover until October 2027. They are open to discussing the potential for keeping this hire on permanently upon the employee's return. If you are looking for a friendly, experienced working environment by joining an well-established team in the region, then this role is perfect for you!

    Previous experience in an administrative or project support role, ideally within construction or MEP sector
    Experience of construction projects and project delivery timelines
    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and document management systems
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDuties include (but are not exclusive to):

    Creating, maintaining and updating project documentation, plans, reports and records
    Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and producing accurate meeting minutes
    Managing company and project compliance and HSE records
    Assisting with project scheduling, by helping to track milestones and progress reports
    Supporting Project and Commercial teams with budget tracking, expense monitoring, purchase orders, and document control
    Acting as a central communication point between site teams, project managers, suppliers, clients, and stakeholders
    Ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant and up to date
