How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for an Engineering Operations Manager

    The purpose of the role

    CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Technical Supervisor to join the team. Although you shall be able to work remotely, you will be expected to visit the central management team based in the Milton Keynes office as well as the engineering team out in the South-West region on a weekly basis.

    You would be responsible for providing support to a team of refrigeration/electrical and fabric techs who provide preventative maintenance, repairs on equipment and systems as well as supervise a team of techs.

    What You'll Do:

    · Determine and ensure delivery of the priorities within the region to ensure BAU, customer objectives and continuous improvement is delivered for the customer.

    · Develop and implement the required programmes/action plans to ensure delivery of the identified strategies and objectives for the region and broader operations function.

    · Plan and manage the cyclical work requirements to ensure optimum service delivery throughout the year.

    · Support to carry out quality checks of recently completed maintenance and repair work and repair work to ensure work is carried out properly.

    · Verify POs/invoices raised for works related to reactive/PM maintenance.

    · Build and maintain effective and positive working relationships with the customer, ensuring a good understanding of their requirements and challenges.

    · Manage escalations within a timely manner achieving efficient solutions within agreed timeframes.

    · Support the delivery of SLA's and KPI's across the contract.

    · Collect, analyse, and report good quality data identifying trends, areas for improvement and potential corrective actions across all key delivery areas.

    · Timely and effective management and implementation of the people management Annual Leave, training etc.

    · Ensure resources are effectively planned and utilised to ensure availability of required skills across all operational hours, considering absence and annual leave.

    · Work with the Operations Manager to set objectives and performance measures for the field teams.

    · Manage, lead, motivate and coach engineers and contribute to the management of the wider engineering and self-delivery team.

    · Run consistent, structured, effective, and productive Team meetings in person and online.

    · Ensure a solid understanding of current contract to make the most appropriate service and commercial decisions.

    · Be aware of sub-contractor activity in the region, monitor and review the quality of works and report on contractor performance.

    · As part of the management team, provide management cover and support across regions to ensure customer service levels are always maintained, including providing appropriate cover in the absence of the Operations manager.

    · Monitoring spend within the region.

    · Work collaboratively with all the teams to provide a joined-up approach to service delivery.

    · Identify training and development needs to improve the skill levels within the teams for both current and future service delivery.

    · Take ownership of the talent management and succession planning processes for the region to ensure there is a sufficient pipeline of talent across the operations team.

    · Complete regular site audits and update findings to the business and keep the dilapidation report updated.

    · Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Support the undertaking of peer reviews, site assessments, and technical competence evaluations.

    · Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

    What You'll Need:

    Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field preferred.
    Experience in project or property management of multi-location retail sites, with preferred knowledge of fuel systems, electronic and general maintenance and project planning.
    Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. · Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

    · Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

    · Excellent client relationship skills.

    · In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    · Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
