This is a hands-on role combining HGV Class 2 driving duties with refuse loading responsibilities. You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle across local routes while also supporting the wider team with the collection and loading of domestic and commercial waste materials.
Previous experience within waste management, refuse collection, recycling or local authority work is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle across designated routes in and around Worksop
Assist with the loading and collection of domestic and commercial waste
Work closely with loaders and operational staff to complete daily collections efficiently
Adhere to all health & safety procedures and road regulations
Carry out manual handling duties and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with members of the public
Essential Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Minimum 2 years’ HGV Class 2 driving experience
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Comfortable carrying out physically demanding work
Reliable, flexible and team-oriented attitude
Previous refuse collection or waste management experience beneficial but not essential
