How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Your mission is to move beyond regulatory compliance and embed a proactive, behavioural safety mindset across the entire operation.

    The Split:

70% Health & Safety: Shifting the focus from enforcement to engagement, coaching leaders to improve decision-making and risk ownership.

30% Environmental & Sustainability: Driving innovation in energy efficiency, water reduction, and food waste segregation in collaboration with Engineering and Operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manafer inlcude:

    * Design and deliver a site-specific HSE strategy that aligns with broader business and sustainability goals.

    * Act as the site lead for the Environmental Management System, identifying and implementing projects to reduce utility consumption and improve waste segregation.

    * Maintain the site’s "competent person" status, overseeing audits, ISO standards, and fire/security management.

    * Work cross-functionally to ensure safety and sustainability are integrated into the fabric of daily

The successful Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager will ideally hold or be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma level with associated environmental certifications.

Experience in a manufacturing / logistics & transportation environment is required. You may be a seasoned EHS expert seeking a new challenge, however this role could also be suited to someone looking to take their first step into HSE leadership and will be offered coaching and support to develop as part of the Site Leadership Team.

Unfortunately, my client is unable to offer sponsorship, candidates will be required to hold full rights to live and work in the UK indefinitely
