How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Despatch Manager – Food Manufacturing
Growing SME manufacturers offer something you rarely find in larger organisations: genuine autonomy, the freedom to shape how things are done, and a friendly, collaborative culture where decisions are made quickly. This Despatch Manager role sits right at the centre of that environment, combining day‑to‑day operational leadership with a standout project — helping to establish a brand‑new stock facility that will transform how the business manages inventory and flow.
This is a Despatch & Stock Control Manager position, ideal for someone who thrives on being close to the operation while also influencing how it evolves. You’ll lead a small team, set daily standards, and ensure the despatch function runs with pace, accuracy and full traceability.
    What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of despatch operations, ensuring every order leaves right first time — correct product, quantity, batch and date code. You’ll allocate resources, manage transport movements, and personally support picking, checking, staging and loading. A valid FLT licence is essential, as you’ll be hands‑on with vehicle loading and unloading.
You’ll also oversee goods‑in control, ensuring raw materials are receipted accurately and recorded correctly in the Hellenic factory floor system. Maintaining stock accuracy is a core part of the role: cycle counts, stocktakes, variance investigation and enforcing FIFO/FEFO discipline.
As a leader, you’ll coach a small team, set expectations for pace and accuracy, and ensure safe working practices across the warehouse, loading bays and traffic areas. You’ll champion safety and compliance, maintain audit‑ready standards and ensure all despatch documentation is completed correctly.
A Unique Opportunity: Build a New Stock Facility
Alongside daily operations, you’ll play a key part in setting up a new stock facility — a major development for the business. You’ll help shape layout, stock flows, system controls and operational processes from day one. It’s a rare chance to influence infrastructure and ways of working in a growing organisation and a great CV builder for you.
    What Makes This Role Attractive
    *
A genuinely autonomous environment where you can make decisions.
    *
A friendly, down‑to‑earth culture with no corporate layers.
    *
The chance to shape a new facility and leave a lasting operational legacy.
    *
A growing, profitable business that is investing in its future.
    What You’ll Bring
Hands‑on despatch/warehouse experience in food manufacturing or FMCG warehousing/distribution, strong stock control discipline, confidence using warehouse systems, experience leading a small team, solid H&S awareness, and a valid FLT licence. Experience with BRC audits, chilled/frozen environments or the Hellenic system is beneficial.
