How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Stairlift Engineer

    Platform Lift Engineer, Through-Floor Lift Engineer, Mobility Engineer

    Wood Green, North London

    Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + benefits

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a growing independent mobility company seeking a Skilled Stairlift Engineer to join its expanding team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced stairlift engineer looking to progress into platform lifts and through-the-floor lifts. The role is service and repair-focused, covering a local Southeast patch, with full training provided to help you become a multi-skilled mobility engineer.

    Applications are welcomed from engineers with strong stairlift fault-finding and repair experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.

    Commutable from: Hayes, Slough, Twickenham, Weybridge, Esher, Ealing, Hounslow, Wimbledon, Wembley, Uxbridge, London

    Stairlift Engineer Responsibilities:

    *

    Service and repair of straight and curved stairlifts from multiple manufacturers

    *

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits

    *

    Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely

    *

    Provide excellent customer service in customers’ homes

    *

    Complete accurate service records and work in line with safety standards

    *

    Attend occasional call-outs (approx. 1 every 3 weeks)

    *

    Undertake ongoing training and development on platform lifts and through-floor lifts

    The Ideal Stairlift Engineer:

    *

    Minimum 2 years’ experience servicing and repairing stairlifts – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Electrical qualifications – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Motivated to progress into platform lifts and through-the-floor lifts – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Experience installing stairlifts – ADVANTAGEOUS

    *

    Experience with through-the-floor lifts, platform lifts, hoists or similar mobility equipment – HIGHLY DESIRABLE

    *

    NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Engineering – DESIRABLE

    *

    CSCS and/or SSSTS – DESIRABLE

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
