How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Operative
    Location: Aston Clinton
    Salary: £24,784.50 per annum
    Additional Pay:
    MHE trained: +£1,000 per annum
    Late shift premium: 10% (where applicable)

    About the Role
    We are recruiting multiple Warehouse Operatives to join our team at our Aston Clinton site. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of goods.
    The successful candidates will be reliable, hard-working, and comfortable working to deadlines while following health and safety procedures.

    Available Shift Patterns
    Applicants can express a preference for one of the following shift patterns:
    Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (2 roles)
    Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00am–5:00pm (1 role)
    Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:00pm (1 role)
    Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm (1 role)
    Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm (1 role, 10% late shift premium applies)

    Key Responsibilities
    Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
    Loading and unloading goods safely
    Operating warehouse equipment and MHE (where trained)
    Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate records
    Ensuring all health, safety, and housekeeping standards are met
    Working as part of a team to meet daily targets

    Skills and Experience
    Previous warehouse experience desirable but not essential
    MHE experience (e.g. FLT, PPT, Reach) is advantageous and attracts an additional £1,000 per annum
    Good attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
    Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
    Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
