How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accounts & Audit Senior – West Midlands
    Senior Opportunity | Independent Practice | Progression Potential
    We are currently representing a highly regarded independent Accountancy Practice looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior into their growing team.
    This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking for more than just another compliance role. The Directors are actively looking to build a strong senior team around them and are keen to bring in somebody who wants to become a key part of the future growth of the practice.
    The position will suit an experienced practice professional who enjoys taking ownership, supporting junior staff and working closely with clients and Directors alike.
    The Role
    The role will involve a mix of:

    Statutory Accounts Preparation
    *
    Audit assignments
    *
    Client relationship management
    *
    Reviewing work
    *
    Managing workloads and deadlines
    *
    Supporting and mentoring junior staff
    *
    Working closely with the Directors on wider practice operations
    This is a genuinely varied role within a collaborative and supportive environment where your input will be valued.
    What They’re Looking For

    ACA / ACCA qualified
    *
    Several years’ UK Practice experience
    *
    Strong accounts and/or audit background
    *
    Comfortable managing workloads and deadlines

    Previous staff mentoring or management exposure
