How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School | Brent | Long-Term Opportunity
    Psychology Graduates Encouraged to Apply

Pertemps Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected secondary school in the Brent area. This school is known for its exceptional behaviour management, supportive leadership team, and positive, welcoming environment for both staff and students.
The school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN department on a long-term basis. The position is available to start ASAP; however, for outstanding candidates, the school is happy to wait until September.

    The Role
You will be supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who have a range of Special Educational Needs. This will include a combination of 1:1 support and small group work, helping students access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to ensure students receive the support they need in a calm, well-managed classroom environment.

    The Ideal Candidate

Holds a UK degree (Psychology graduates are highly encouraged to apply)
Has experience working with young people with SEN
Is confident, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with students
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, teaching, or therapy-related professions.

If you are keen to get back into your next position in a school and are a proactive and positive individual with experience supporting SEN students, APPLY NOW
