How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 1 ADR Tanker Drivers.

    Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of hazardous materials to customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, ensuring safe driving and operation of vehicles at all times

    * Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with legal and company procedures

    * Safely load and handle tanker equipment in accordance with legislation

    * Deliver hazardous goods to customers, promptly reporting any issues

    * Complete all required paperwork accurately and efficiently

    * Manage tachograph records in compliance with legal requirements

    * Follow incident reporting procedures in line with company policies

    * Maintain knowledge of Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations

    * Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times

    * Comply with all road safety laws and company policies

    Requirements:

    * Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)

    * Valid ADR Certificate

    * Driver CPC qualification

    * Minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience

    * Strong commitment to safety and high working standards

    * Flexible approach to working hours, including nights away and overtime

    What’s on Offer:

    * Competitive salary of £36,516.48 per annum

    * Overtime is paid after 9.6 hours at 1.5 x basic rate Monday to Saturday and 2.0 x basic rate Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    * Dark Pay is paid after 2000 hrs and before 0600 hours at £3.44 per hour

    * Nights out are paid at £26.50 and is non-taxable
