How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Quality Process Engineer | West Midlands | £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits

    Full‑time, 40 hours per week
Start time from 6:00am (flexible, with flexibility expected in return)
Unpaid 30‑minute break daily | 25 days holiday + bank holidays

    The Opportunity

We're partnering with a manufacturing business operating in a technically demanding, process‑driven environment that places strong emphasis on product integrity and customer performance. As the business continues to mature its quality systems and culture, this role plays a central part in driving continuous improvement across operations.

This is a hands‑on Quality Process Engineer position, working closely with manufacturing, technical and leadership teams to strengthen process control, reduce variation and improve overall customer experience.

    What You'll Do

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll take ownership of day‑to‑day quality performance and improvement activity across the business. Your role will include:

    - Analysing quality data, identifying trends and reporting performance to drive proactive improvement
    - Leading root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Whys and 8D, tracking corrective actions through to closure
    - Implementing and maintaining effective process controls to reduce scrap, rework and customer returns
    - Managing internal and external non‑conformances, including rejects, concessions and customer complaints
    - Supporting audits, documentation, SOPs and quality alerts to ensure compliance and consistency

You'll also play a broader role in embedding a "quality‑first" culture, supporting teams at all levels to take ownership of quality and process discipline.

    What's On Offer

    - Salary: £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience
    - Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week
    - Start time: From 6:00am with flexible working approach
    - Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
    - Opportunity to influence quality strategy and site‑wide improvement
    - High visibility role with exposure to senior operations and technical leadership
    - Stable long‑term opportunity in a quality‑critical manufacturing environment

    What We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Process Engineer from a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to iron foundry or high‑integrity casting processes. You'll bring:

    - Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and data‑driven improvement
    - Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities
    - Confidence engaging with production, engineering and leadership teams to influence change
    - A practical, detail‑focused approach with strong communication skills

Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, Lean or structured problem‑solving methodologies is advantageous. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential if you can demonstrate the right practical experience and mindset.
