How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Undertake client visits to provide advice and support where appropriate
    • Attend and contribute to formal meetings in line with experience and capability

We’re looking for someone who is:

    • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
    • Experienced in generalist HR and employee relations casework
    • Comfortable advising managers and senior stakeholders
    • Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
    • Knowledgeable in employment law and HR best practice
    • Organised, resilient, and solutions-focused
    • A strong communicator who builds trust quickly

    What’s in it for you

    • Salary up to £31,000
    • A fast-growing, friendly, and supportive team environment
    • Varied and interesting HR casework with exposure to multiple sectors
    • Opportunity to develop your expertise in complex employee relations
    • Hybrid working with a mix of office, remote, and client site work
    • Genuine scope to grow and progress within the business

Experience within education or a unionised environment is beneficial but not essential.

    The environment

This is a team that genuinely supports each other. It’s busy, varied, and fast-moving – but also friendly, approachable, and collaborative. You’ll be joining an organisation where your input is valued and your development is encouraged.
