How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a Graduate/Junior Project Manager to work in a role managing their ongoing racking projects across Yorkshire and the UK. With a competitive salary and opportunity for progression, this is a great opportunity for a design engineer, project coordinator or project/construction management graduate looking to get into project management.

     Responsibilities

    Managing the company’s projects to fit customers’ requirements for racking and storage
    Creating project plans to fit with the expectations of the company’s clients; liaising with them throughout the duration of the project
    Working closely with manufacturers of racking, flagging up any issues throughout timeline of project delivery
    Overseeing cost management and working with external contractors to maximize the efficiency of project completion
    Visiting sites regularly across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK to liaise with clients and oversee project progressRequirements

    The company are open to exploring different types of candidates such as someone working within the racking & storage industry who wants to get into project management. They would also be interested in speaking to graduates who have qualifications in project/construction management or similar. Another option would be someone with project management experience from a closely related industry. In terms of location, the ideal candidate would be based within commutable distance of Wakefield as there will be an expectation to attend the office. A full UK driver’s license is also a requirement as the position will require national travel.
