How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    5 days / 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm)

We offer a competitive, experience‑aligned salary with no commission or sales targets which ensures stable, predictable earnings and a focus on exceptional client care.

Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists are the Number One Which? Recommended Hearing Aid provider and we are now looking for an enthusiastic Audiologist to join our Knaphill & Woking practices to cover both practices over 5 days / 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm).

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional hearing care that truly makes a difference? At Bayfields, we don’t just check hearing—we transform lives through personalised care and lifestyle-focused solutions.

    What makes this role special?

As our Audiologist in our Knaphill & Woking practice, you will have the time and space to do things properly.

    • 15-minute hearing health checks to identify needs and build rapport
    • 75-inute hearing care examinations to dive deep into your clients’ lifestyle, preferences, and hearing goals

    What you will be doing:

    • Carrying out hearing care examinations to the highest clinical standards
    • Following all current HCPC and BSA testing guidelines
    • Collaborating closely with your practice team to deliver obsessively great service throughout the Bayfields client journey
    • Educating clients about their hearing health and empowering them to make informed decisions

    What we are looking for:

    • HCPC-registered Audiologist with a passion for person-centred care
    • A full UK driving licence and car
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
    • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, client-first environment

    What we will give you:

    • Protected clinical time

    • Longer appointment lengths

    • Investment in CPD

    • Funded training

    • Clear progression pathways

    • Modern equipment

    • Supportive, non‑sales culture

    • Multi‑disciplinary team environment

    • Balanced with feeling part of the Audiology team

    • Autonomy and trust

    • Paid professional fees including HCPC registration and BSHAA membership

    Why Bayfields?

When you join Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists as our Audiologist, you are joining an independent business through our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey. We are not a huge chain which means we understand the importance of local relationships and the power of choice. We also have state of the art equipment to help identify the mildest hearing loss with a wide range of hearing solutions. We are redefining hearing care by putting people first. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that values quality over quantity, and service over sales. With us, you’ll have the time, tools, and support to do your best work—and make a real impact.
