Location - Pontefract
£17.00 – £18.50/hour (DOE) + Overtime
We are looking for an experienced, apprentice-trained Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team in Pontefract. This role is initially temporary, with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is not a production welding role — we’re looking for someone who can fabricate, assemble, and assist with installation of automatic industrial gates and associated steelwork.
The Role
* Fabrication and assembly of automatic gates and bespoke steelwork
* MIG welding to a high standard
* Working from engineering drawings
* Workshop-based with some on-site installation work
What We’re Looking For
* Apprentice-trained and qualified Fabricator/Welder
* Proven fabrication experience (not just production welding)
* Valid CSCS card (essential)
* Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
* Clean driving licence preferred
Pay & Benefits
* £17.00 – £18.50 per hour (depending on experience and ability)
* Overtime after 45 hours: 1.33x (midweek)
* Weekend overtime: 1.5x
* Opportunity to secure a permanent position
Higher rates considered for candidates with strong site experience or gate/automation background
