How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    We’re looking for a highly skilled Head Planning & Logistics UK to lead and develop our end‑to‑end logistics, materials planning, and supply chain operations across multiple UK sites. This is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for product availability, right‑sized inventory, operational performance, and distribution excellence for a high‑growth, multi‑site business.

    Reporting into senior leadership, you will shape the strategy for UK logistics and supply planning, lead a team of 75+ across planning and warehousing, and drive transformation across our network, all within a complex, SAP‑enabled environment.

    Responsibilities

    End‑to‑End Logistics Leadership

    • Own logistics operations across all UK sites: warehousing, inventory management, distribution, and transportation.
    • Oversee a 75+ person team spanning planning (internal & external goods), warehouse operations, and transport.

    MRP Strategy & Excellence

    • Design, implement, and monitor MRP processes, policies, routines, and controls.
    • Standardise and optimise the SAP MRP module, ensuring effective master data and planning parameters.

    Service, Inventory & Performance

    • Manage $50M+ inventory across the UK network.
    • Ensure finished goods availability for customers and materials availability for production.
    • Deliver key KPIs including gross margin %, OTIF %, and stock availability.

    Network & Site Transformation

    • Lead the transformation of logistics operations at our Washington site.
    • Optimise the UK supply chain network to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
    • Drive long-term planning and capability-building across warehousing, distribution, and transport.

    S&OP & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

    • Enhance and standardise the S&OP process in partnership with commercial teams.
    • Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance to deliver an integrated supply chain.

    Leadership & People Development

    • Lead Logistics Managers, Warehouse Managers, and MRP Specialists through strong coaching and performance management.
    • Build capability, develop talent, and foster a high-performance culture across the broader UK team.

    Innovation & Risk Management

    • Drive digitalisation, automation, and data driven decision-making.
    • Develop contingency and business continuity plans across logistics and planning.


    About You

    • 10-15 years of experience in planning, logistics, and operational management in the UK.
    • Strong SAP experience (MRP and/or Sales & Distribution).
    • Degree or Masters in a business-related discipline.
    • Proven leadership of multisite logistics and planning operations.
    • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capability.
    • Comfortable being hands-on as well as strategic.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and exposure to senior leadership” to reflect the ability to represent supply chain to commercial
