We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a growing manufacturing business, supporting the Head of QHSE in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing working environment.
This is a key role where you will act as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters, helping to drive a strong safety culture across the business.
The Role
You will play a hands-on role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, while actively supporting continuous improvement across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments and implement safe systems of work
Investigate accidents, near misses, and non-conformities
Manage COSHH assessments and control hazardous substances
Oversee PPE selection, issue, and training
Manage contractor activities, including RAMS and permits to work
Coordinate inspection, servicing, and testing of equipment (including PAT testing)
Support DSE assessments for employees
Carry out internal audits, HSE inspections, and environmental monitoring
Support ISO management systems and compliance activitiesAbout You
Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role
Strong knowledge of ISO45001 / OHSAS18001
Recognised H&S qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, IOSH)
Experience conducting audits and investigations
Confident using Microsoft Office and systems
Proactive, organised, and able to influence at all levelsDesirable:
IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 What's on Offer
